Here’s the direction we have from every major carrier, i.e. UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc. :
Sometimes delivery drivers on occasion will drop a package somewhere out of public view, behind a bush, wall, furniture, etc
And of course, a package can be delivered to another address inadvertently. Sometimes the house numbers on each block are the same, and houses and streets can appear the same, especially in some newer neighborhoods.
We first ask that you search all possible locations around your house, i.e. : side or garage entry (which often is assumed to be the main entrance into a home), behind larger objects, etc.
Also, ask all of members of your household (even caregivers, maintenance workers, etc) to see if anyone has received the package or brought one inside.
We suggest checking with all of your immediate neighbors, and perhaps those on the next block on either side of you.
Promptly contacting your local carrier hub can be beneficial, as they can often reach the driver in your area to see if they may recall details about delivering your package.
Over 90% of "lost" packages are found through one of these methods.
